This information includes basic details, such as your name and birthday, along with your preferences for the kind of people that you would lieke to be matched with. To further understand who you are, we collect information about the usage of our services by you, including access logs. In addition, we also collect third-party information, when you create our access our Services through social media or third-party services.


  4. Information You Give To Pique


    By agreeing to our Policy, you agree to give us the following information:

    • Upon account creation, at a minimum, you give us your phone number, email address, birthday, gender, and preferences of who you’d like to be matched with, such as but not limited to gender preferences and age range preferences

    • Upon completing the onboarding process, you give us information such as sexual orientation, your bio, your occupations, and photos that you want to be shown on your profile. Adding content like photos means that you allow us access to your camera or photo album. Providing us with this information means that you give us consent to use this data for the purposes that we have stated and listed out in this Policy

    • When you participate in any surveys, or marketing campaigns, through any means, you give us access and insight into our Services and responses to questions that we may ask

    • When you choose to participate in our ambassador program, promotional events, and marketing events, we collect the information that you use to participate in the above-mentioned

    • When you contact or speak to a customer care representative or one of our employees, we collect and store the information that you provide during those interactions

    • When you share information with us about other people, such as using a friend’s phone number to access our services or give us a friend’s number for marketing campaigns, we store and process this information on behalf of you

    • We process all chat communication that you have with other members to ensure that we are keeping our Services safe to use for all of our members

    • We process all content that you publish on our Services to ensure that we are keeping our Services safe to use for all of our members

This information includes information that we get from other members about you - this happens in cases when other members interact with you and/ or when other members submit a report about you. If you choose to share information with us through your social media accounts, such as logging in to our Services via Facebook, we store the information associated with your social media.

    When you choose to use our Services, we automatically get technical data and information about your usage of our Services. This information includes:

    • Geolocation: When you create an account on our Services, we ask for your consent to give us access to your precise geolocation data from your device. Specifically, this geolocation data includes the longitude and latitude of your device’s location.     • Improvement and Development of Features & Services: Collecting this data and information enables us to understand how you use our services, what improvements you would like to see, what new features you would like to see, and understand how modifications affect the satisfaction of our members. For example, we use your usage insights to understand which features you best like and frequently use and which features you don’t frequently use to see where we can improve to fill in the gaps.

    • Other Members: Our main goal is to give you the best experience by trying to connect you with members that we think you are most compatible with. In order to do so, we share the information that you voluntarily disclose on our Services, such as your public profile. Given this, please ensure that the information that you are choosing to voluntary disclose is information that you are comfortable with sharing with other members on the app. In addition, if another members submits a report about you (such as filing a violation claim of our Terms of Service), if we have to take any action, then we may share the actions that we took to the person who reported you.

    • Service Providers: We use various service providers and vendors to allow us to host the data for our Services, perform maintenance of our Services, ensure security for our Services, collect analytics, and market and advertise our Services. In some instances, we may share hashed, non-human readable forms to these service providers. Please note that we follow a strict vetting process for any provider that we work with, all providers that we work with are required to sign a strict confidentiality agreement.

    We only store your personal information for as long as we need it for legitimate business and/ or legal purposes, as stated in Section 7, and as permitted by applicable law. Please note that if you want to or decide to stop using our Services, you can close your account, which will ensure that your profile is no longer visible to other members. After you close your account, we will also delete all personal information that we store about you, with the given restrictions:

    • To ensure safety amongst our members, we have a safety retention period of your information for three months following closure of your account, and one year following in the case of an account ban. We keep this information for this period in the circumstance that it becomes necessary to investigate harmful and/ or unlawful conducts.

    • After the safety retention period is complete, we delete all data except the following for specified purposes:

      • We have to follow legal data retention policies and obligations for records of consents that our members give us for 5 years to evidence our compliance with applicable law.

      • We keep customer care records, supporting data, and imprecise location of download for five years to support our customer care decisions, enforce our legal rights, and enable us to defend ourselves in the event of a claim, and we need information on the existence of past accounts, which we delete after three years of the closure of your last account to ensure accurate financial forecasting and reporting.

      • We store profile data for one year in anticipation of potential litigation, for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

      • We store data necessary to prevent members who were banned from opening a new account due to a violation of our Terms of Service, for as long as necessary to ensure the safety of our members.

      • We store information on the basis of legitimate interest in the circumstance that there is an ongoing, outstanding or potential issue, claim or dispute, which requires us to store this information. An example of this is if we receive a valid legal subpoena or request asking us to preserve data, in which case we would need to keep the data to comply with our legal obligations, or if data would otherwise be necessary as part of legal proceedings.

    We do not allow individuals who are under the age of 18 to use our Services as our Services are restricted to individuals who are 18 years or older. If you suspect that there is a member using our Services who is under 18 years of age, please report this member by contacting support@piquedating.com.
